I had been working for the same company for a very long time and had taken the career opportunities that had been presented to me, without asking myself whether I actually wanted them. As a project manager, I mainly dealt with cost-saving projects, whereas I actually much preferred to be working with people. This led to a period at home, to rethink what I really wanted. Career guidance with my coach truly saved my thinking and feeling process. Thanks to her, I dared to speak up at work for the first time and say what I really wanted to do and what made me happy.
I also had some self-confidence issues and thanks to the coaching, I realized that I could and that I was good enough. In the coaching sessions, there was much room for humor and honesty, and I could bring up anything. My coach speaks her mind and is to-the-point, and I like that.
